Coronavirus Update

Valued customers:

As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact our national and local communities, the CU Book Store website is open and we continue to ship orders, however, the physical store is closed.

Here are some of the things we are doing:

  • To assist you with your online shopping, we are offering free domestic, standard shipping on ALL orders.
  • In light of the rapid move to online courses and learning, we’ve partnered with our digital course materials platform, VitalSource, and leading publishers to launch VitalSource Helps, a program offering limited free access to ebooks for students who may have lost access to course materials. Visit to access free ebooks through May 25 with a student email address. VitalSource Helps provides access to an expansive catalog of ebooks, but some content may not be available and access is limited to 7 titles.
  • We have extended the deadline for rental returns to June 1. For those who prefer, rental books may be returned by mail and we are working on additional details for a ship back program.
  • Should you wish to send your books back prior, please mark the package as follows and be sure to include your full name and IdentiKey username (not your password) with your books:

  • CU Book Store
    ATTN: Rental Returns
    36 UCB
    1669 Euclid Avenue
    Boulder, CO 80309
  • If you choose not to return your rental books, they will be converted to a purchase and you will be charged the difference between the rental and purchase price. You will not be charged additional fees. Please note that our rental prices are low in many cases and the difference may be quite large. We recommend you do what you can to return the books.
  • Staff will continue to monitor email, please reach out to us with questions
